When I arrived in Sweden, everything was new for me. Anything from shops, food, people, language, streets, etc.

Of course google was really helpful when it came to find my direction, where to shop, what to eat, what to see. I could also get tips about some social norms but of course it wasn’t enough.

I was so embarrassed when I placed aluminium trash in class trashcan or my friends laughed a lot when I mistook my teacher to be our sketching nude model.

So, I have decided to illustrate some of cultural differences I had in Sweden and think what is new. It was lots of fun while I was working and I will definitely continue working on the subject later as well.

This survival guide designed for new international students, which will arrive to Sweden without any idea of Sweden and Swedish people. It might be cultural shock for some, but I think every thing is about practice. 😉
